On the Road to a Better Tomorrow

4-Paws K-9 Rescue Transport was created as a result of the passing of my dear Beloved Shih-tzu "Brindle" on October 23, 2000 at the age of 14 and 3 days old.  Events that followed gradually found me involved with the local Humane Society.  It was through that work that I became aware of the efforts of all the Rescue Groups and the need to help with transporting.  My first transport was done in December of 2001, transporting "Mia" on one of the legs to her forever home.  The gratification in knowing that she would be living a fulfilling life away from the worlds inhumanities was more than I could have ever asked for.  The rest is history....so to speak : )   The following pages picture the transports I have done, more are constantly added so check back regularly and when you see them - know that they are safe and warm.

The world of Rescue is the result of the co-operation, dedication and devotion of a multitude of people.  From the Rescue Groups, to the Foster Homes, the Transporters and the smaller more administrative aspects.  Dogs that would otherwise be euthanized or left to a life of suffering and misery are saved and given the love and attention they so desire and deserve.  Some areas of Rescue require enormous amounts of time, while other areas - such as transport - only require a vehicle and a few hours out of the week.  If you are interested or have any question about how you can become involved in rescue please feel free to email me and if I can't help you out....then I will direct you to someone who surely can.
